Knee plastic surgery for Nicole?:
[Hollywood News]: London, Dec 16 : Australian beauty Nicole Kidman has fuelled speculation that she has had cosmetic knee surgery, after being snapped wearing bandages around her legs.
Pictures in British tabloids Tuesday showed the "Cold Mountain" star, 37, in a swimming costume, exposing bandages around her knees, reported the Internet Media Database.
According to British surgeon Apostolos Gaitanis, the bandages suggest that she had had liposculpture to remove fatty deposits that are notoriously difficult to shift in later years.
"She is in her mid-thirties, an age when many women find that fat has started to collect on the inside and upper section of their knees. No matter how much they exercise or control their diet, these deposits stay put," the surgeon was quoted as saying.
"It takes about 45 minutes and patients can go home immediately. For the next few days, patients wear plasters and support stockings to help the skin re-drape correctly."
Five years ago, Kidman had torn the cartilage in one of her knees while filming the musical "Moulin Rouge".
"Of course, she might have had keyhole surgery to overcome cartilage problems. But it is quite rare for the cartilage of two knees to go at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if she has had some sort of plastic surgery," Lucy Glacey, a London-based doctor was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
