New FDA-approved treatment offered for cellulite

Every woman knows what about cellulite--the bumpy, dimpled skin that can appear on their thighs, buttocks or any part of their body. In fact, 90% of women get cellulite sometime in her lifetime. There is no cure, and diet and exercise won't get rid of celluite. But a new procedure being offered at Ideal Image can get rid of it - at least temporarily.

The Triactive Machine looks like a high-tech massager, but it's actually a laser device that changes women's body from the inside out. The machine, as the name implies, works in three ways. The first is a suction massager, that breaks down the fat cells and collagen under the skin. A series of small lasers generate new collagen, creating a smoother surface on the skin. And finally, a cold tip prevents brusing and swelling on the body.

Despite it's recent FDA approval, Ideal Image did its own tests on the Triactive Machine.

JUDY BLUMENTHAL / STUDY PARTICIPANT:
"Normally when I sat down--if I was wearing shorts--I would tuck a napkin under my shorts to basically cover up little bulges of cellulite. Now I don't even think twice about it when I sit down in a pair of shorts. I'm really pleased."

Since the procedure is so new, Ideal Image isn't sure how long the results will last. To learn more about the Triactive Machine for cellulite removal, you can call Ideal Image in Tampa at (813) 286-8100.
