Botox for the Bustline?

It erases frown lines, eases headaches and relieves back pain. And now the toxin turned popular cure-all may be giving a boost to a different part of the body. Botox for your bustline.

A Canadian doctor discovered the "added" benefit when he used botox to improve people's posture.

"So what they found is if they inject it into the chest muscle, the pectoralis muscle that people will have a better posture and then they have a breast lift."

Bloomfield Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Schreiber has been using botox for years to wipe-away wrinkles. It works by temporarily paralyzing muscles under the skin."

So paralyzing the pecs may make women stand-up straight, breasts lifted, but it won't change the shape or size of the breast.

"I think the only person it would work on is somebody who has rounded shoulders..somebody who has poor posture."

And remember, it's only a temporary lift. Botox typically lasts between 3-6 months. And Dr. Schreiber estimates it could cost between $500 to $1,000 per treatment.

"But there's going to be risk, you're injecting around the chest wall if you're going to inject around the chest wall there are other structures involved in the area, you could have a lung that drops or you could have bleeding."

Because there is a lack of evidence as to whether the new botox treatment really works, some doctors doctors warn it may just lighten your purse, rather than boost your bustline.
